Description

Pale baby blue flowers are held atop a mound of fine lush green foilage in early spring. Green finely textured foliage forms a tidy mound, reaching only 3' in diameter, it makes it perfect for tucking into most mixed borders. Tolerant of most soil types this is an easy to grow, long-lived perennial. The cooler fall temperatures transition the green foilage to a glowing golden orange, lighting up the fall landscape.

Plant Care

Water

Consistent water during initial growing season. Moderately drought tolerant once established

Fertilizer

Generally does not require heavy fertilizer and can thrive with little to none, though a light application of balanced, slow-release fertilizer or compost in early spring can promote healthier growth.

Pruning

Generally does not require strict pruning to survive, but cutting it back by 1/3 to 1/2 in late spring (after flowers fade) is recommended to create a bushier, more compact habit and prevent flopping.
