Description

Love-A-Lot Pink' offers high-impact blooms with virtually zero maintenance. It produces massive, cone-shaped flower panicles held upright by stiff, improved stems that prevent drooping. No deadheading is required. Because it blooms on new wood, it flowers reliably every summer regardless of harsh winters or pruning errors. Very cold hardy, its manageable size fits tight spots, foundations, or large containers.

Plant Care

Water

Moist, well-drained soil

Fertilizer

Apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer, like 10-10-10 as soon as new green growth begins to emerge. You can apply a second, lighter round of fertilizer in late June or early July. This mid-season boost helps sustain the long blooming cycle as flowers transition from white to pink.Stop all fertilization by late July or early August, as it can stimulate tender new growth that can be damaged by first frost.

Pruning

Strong prune early spring every year for more blooms and fuller plants

Seasons of Interest

Lush, deep green foliage. Because it blooms on "new wood," the plant focuses its early energy on growing strong, sturdy stems that will later support its massive flower clusters. Mid-

Large, pyramidal flower spikes emerge as a pristine, creamy white. Late

The color continues to deepen until the blooms reach a rich strawberry-rose or dark pink.

Significant architectural interest as flower heads dry directly on the plant as an elegant parchment tan, creating a striking texture
