Plant Care
Water
Once established, has very low water needs and is exceptionally drought-tolerant. Newly Planted: Water deeply 1 to 2 times a week for the first growing season to help its deep root system establish.Established Plants: Rely mostly on natural rainfall. Pruning

Seasons of Interest
Spring
The plant wakes up, quickly pushing out fresh, tidy, mounded clumps of fragrant, gray-green foliage. Then it explodes into its first massive flush of soft lavender-blue flower spikes.
Summer
It blooms heavily! During the hottest stretches of mid-to-late summer, the active flower count may drop slightly. However, the colorful calyces (the tiny structures holding the buds) remain purple, keeping the plant looking full of color even between bloom cycles.
Fall
If you give the plant a quick trim after its first early-summer bloom, it will reward you with a strong, fresh wave of neat foliage and brand-new blue flowers that last deep into fall.
Winter
t dies back completely to the ground and the remaining stems turn a soft, silvery-gray. You can leave them standing to provide structural texture against the snow or cut them back to the crown to keep your garden bed clean.
